After every trip, you get automatically emailed an Uber receipt to your inbox. If for some reason you didn’t get it, you have the option to have one resend to you. So understanding how to retrieve your Uber receipts and how to deal with common receipt problems is a good idea. It’s especially important if you use Uber for business or work purposes. Below is the instruction on how to get a copy of your Uber receipt.
How to Review and Download an Uber Receipt
- Go to uber.com and sign in to your account
- Click on “My Trips” on the menu
- Select any trip you want the receipt for
- Tap on “View Detail”
- Next, Click on “Resend Receipt”
If you log into your Uber account, you can review a history of all of your rides and send yourself any of the receipts. If you hit “resend” and the receipt isn’t showing up in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. It’s a good idea to add Uber to your address book to ensure that you get all of your receipts.
If you still don’t see the Uber receipt in your spam folder, you might want to change the email address that you previously have saved on your profile. Here’s how you do that:
- Open your uber rider app and tap on the clip board on the upper left corner
- Click on Settings
- Click on Edit account
- Then Update your account
You also have the option to view your trip information and receipts from your Uber app any time you want to. Simply follow the step below.

- Select “Trips”

How to Handle Problems with Your Fare
It’s always a good idea to check over your Uber receipt to make sure that you were billed correctly. If your driver got stopped by the police, had to stop for gas or car maintenance, or any other similar problems, you are entitled to at least a partial refund.
The fare also depends on the route that your driver took. If they took an extremely inconvenient route, you can get a refund or at least some Uber credits. But you obviously can’t get a refund if you told the driver to take that route.
If you notice any problems with your receipt, you can contact Uber directly from your app or via email.
How to Save Your Uber Receipt as a PDF
A lot of people need to save their receipts as PDFs for different reasons. One reason is that it’s just more convenient. Sometimes people need PDFs for their work or business too. The problem is that Uber doesn’t let you save your Uber receipt directly as a PDF. There is a way around this, though.
Log into your email from a computer and open the email with the Uber receipt that you would like to print. Right click on the receipt and click “print.” Then when the print screen pops up, click “change destination type” and “save as PDF.”
If this doesn’t work for some reason, you could always take a screenshot of the receipt, open it in Microsoft Word, and export it as a PDF.

To enable this feature:
- Open your business profile on Uber,
- Go to settings
- Select “Auto-Expense”
You can choose to connect with any of their partners. Link your account to the service and then check your email for verification. It’s as simple as that!
Every time you use Uber after doing this, your Uber receipt will automatically be sent for reimbursement.
