5 Effective Ways to Contact Uber

Last Updated on by B. Thermidor

It doesn’t matter if you are a passenger or an Uber driver, one of these days you’ll find yourself in a situation where you’re needed help from Uber and you want to contact the Uber customer service. It may be a fare issue you want to get resolved, or you’re having difficulties with your account or even a question that you want to ask them.

You want to contact Uber customer service? Not long ago, I had an issue with one my referral reward amounts and I wanted to contact Uber about it and couldn’t find out effective ways for prompt answers. I know if I have issues on contacting uber, and so thousands of you uber drivers out there. If you’re wondering, I had a $700 referral but Uber only paid me $350, I contacted Uber and the issue was resolved. Thank you to this person, let’s call him Brandon, for using my referral link to sign up and drive with Uber.

Many of you probably have problems either with your fares, or getting your expired documents approved.  You wait and wait to see if things will change and you realize you’re wasting your time. Nothing will truly happen unless you contact someone from Uber about the issues you have.

I have compiled a list of ways to contact uber that actually works. Uber has ensured that they have many ways available for customer care services. Here is a list of the ways you can contact uber and how they work.

Uber phone number:

Actually Uber does have a phone number and it’s: 1-800-593-7069.  Customer support is available using this number from 8am-3:30pm Pacific time (Mon-Fri)… I normally get my issues resolved by calling this number most of the time.

If for some reason, you can’t remember the Uber phone number, you can get it using the Uber driver app, and here’s how:

  • Open Uber app – Go to “Account” at the bottom of the screen
  • Tap “Help”
  • Tap the phone icon in the right
  • Tap “Call Support”

Uber In-App Support

This customer service channel mostly handles the non-urgent issues that passengers or Uber drivers might be having.

This App was unveiled in March 2016 to assist in the fast answering of questions for the ride-share service users.  The questions are replied sooner at least within half an hour of asking. A list of frequently asked questions are also available.

E-mailing Uber

If your Uber App doesn’t have the answer to your questions, then you can send an email to the Uber customer care.  Uber assign an email address to each city that Uber is operated.  If your city doesn’t have an email address yet, then you have the option to contact Uber customer service through the email of the nearest city.

If you need some help that is not required immediate assistance, you might wanna go this way, yep the e-mail way.

If you have questions about Uber policies to be explained to you, it’s something you might want to send a quick email, and wait for your answer.

So, if you have general questions, send uber an email to support@uber.com.  Sometimes, I email Uber about any questions I have, and it usually doesn’t take long.

Although it’s not immediate as the Uber phone line, but I have my questions are usually answered in 1-2 hours.

Contact Uber Facebook Page

One interesting that I just discovered on how to contact Uber is that through their Facebook page, yes you heard it right!

You can contact Uber through their Facebook page.

There’s not much to say about taking this route. But I’ve seen other individuals, riders and drivers comment on Uber facebook page about their issues. And quickly some representative answer and most likely refer them to check their email.  For privacy, they won’t answer any specifics to you live on a live Facebook page, obviously.

Uber Help Portal

If you have just started using Uber and do not know much about its policies or how to go about it, all you need to do is visit Help.Uber.com

Uber Customer Service and Support team readjusted their help section now and it’s very helpful. A lot of basic information is found here, and customers get satisfied.

The portal was the official way for its drivers and riders to contact Uber customer service.

Usually, help.uber.com would be your first step when trying to get in touch with Uber, but they finally have a phone number in case you want to speak to an actual person.

The Help Portal will give you a choice between Uber drivers and riders, depends on which you pick when you sign in on the Uber Help Portal you’ll find a list of popular topics, such as:

  • Reset My Password
  • General Issues
  • Fare Review
  • Trip Troubleshooting
  • Lost items
  • Driver, Route, and Vehicle Feedback

The FAQs section of the Uber help portal is of a fairly basic, self explanatory and easy to understand.
